The Plot Of Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince
Enchanting the reader is an easy task in the case of fiction stories, but only if they are properly premeditated and later depicted well. In the case of Harry Potter, J.K Rowling had been quite vigilant in maintaining the coherence and thrill at the same time in order to keep the reader’s momentum and verve alive.
Half Blood Prince had proved to be a masterpiece in all of the artistic works of Rowling in this category. It has provided her with a distinctive edge for her Legend in order to reveal her all- capable self. The main feature of the new release has been its plotting and planning of the incidents in the book. The new anticipative thrill has provoked new fears in the hearts of the readers regarding the Legend Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
From the very first chapter of the book, the feel of new suspicion and possible twists has been aroused. The main concept of the whole story is the declaration of war on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the elimination of Dumbledore. Lord Voldemort appoints this dangerous and difficult task to Draco Malfoy. Draco had to take up the responsibility for the welfare of his family, as his father has been locked up in Azkaban, and he needs the help of the Dark Lord to rescue him from there.
The mother of Draco, Narcissa, becomes quite distraught and hysterical of the plot, and reaches Snape, Professor at Hogwarts, almost instantly to make up an agreement with him. She makes him to vow in order to help and protect Draco and finish off the task on his behalf if in case he is unable to do so. This unbreakable vow becomes an imposed obligation on Snape, as, if he would try to back off his word, he would die right away.
Draco, on the other hand, preferred to work alone and keep his plans confidential. In this series, he is mostly found to be working alone and avoiding his underlings as well, whom he could not trust with his secret plans. He buys off a necklace from Mr. Borgin of Borgin and Burkes in Knockturn Alley and jinxes it. It is his first weapon for killing Dumbledore during their trip to Hogsmeade after returning to Hogwarts. However, instead of Dumbledore, Katie bell becomes the victim when it almost strangulates her as she tries to wear it around her neck. After this unsuccessful attempt, he poisons tainted mead, which again victimises Ron Weasley, in lieu, who is also brought back to life from a very crucial stage.
Much too disappointed by his preceding failing efforts, he tries to spend more time alone in the Room of Requirements, repairing the Vanishing Cabinets. Nevertheless, these endeavours prove to be very hard for little 16 year old teenager. Unable of discussing the plans with anyone, the situation overwhelms his mind and body and he eventually suffers from nervous breakdown. However, there is no turning back from Voldemort’s orders. He continues with his efforts and eventually success comes his way, but at the cost of his terror and spirit.
As soon as Dumbledore returns to Hogwarts, he sees the Dark Mark, Voldemort’s sign above the Astronomy Tower and quickly returns to his office. There he is suddenly ambushed and disarmed by Draco. Many Death Eaters enter Hogwarts as well through Vanishing Cabinets, avoiding all sorts of enchantments and tricks. Even though his responsibility is on the edge of completion, Draco suddenly becomes terrified and insecure for committing the murder of his Headmaster. At the instance, suddenly Snape appears, performs the Killing Curse on Dumbledore, and flees from Hogwarts grounds with all the Death Eaters.
